Candidates must be between 21 and 40 years of age as of 01.01.2027.SC / ST / OBC / Women / Govt. Employees / PwD: Relaxation of 5 years (Upper age limit 45 years).Ex-servicemen receive relaxation based on length of service plus 3 years, up to a maximum of 45 years.
Applicants must possess the following qualifications: Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent from a recognized University. Candidates must be registered with the Bar Council.
Preferential Qualifications: Preference will be given at the final selection stage to candidates with a First Division in Law, or at least two years of legal practice at the Bar, or higher educational qualifications.

The OMR-based written exam consists of two parts: Part A (General Awareness of MP, India, and the World) for 150 marks and Part B (Law) for 300 marks. There is a negative marking of 1 mark for every wrong answer (3R-W formula). Qualifying marks are 40% for Unreserved and 30% for reserved categories in each section separately.A late fee provision exists: ₹3,000 for applications between May 9–15 and ₹25,000 for applications up to September 23, 2026.
