ISRO Centralised Recruitment Board (ICRB) Scientist/Engineer 'SC' Recruitment 2026

Age limit and relaxation criteria computed as on 17th August 2026:

• Maximum Age: 28 years for Unreserved (UR) and EWS candidates.

• OBC (NCL) Candidates: 31 years (applicable against reserved posts).

• SC / ST Candidates: 33 years (applicable against reserved posts).

• PwBD Candidates: Age relaxation up to 10 to 15 years as per Government of India guidelines.

Educational Qualification:

• BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 65% aggregate marks or a CGPA of 6.84 on a 10-point scale (average of all semesters). For the Architecture discipline, a Bachelor's degree in Architecture with a valid Council of Architecture registration is mandatory.

• GATE Requirement: Must possess a valid GATE 2025 or GATE 2026 score in the corresponding paper code (EC, ME, CS, CE, EE, AR).

The recruitment drive covers institutional openings across multiple streams including:

• Mechanical (26)

• Computer Science (13)

• Civil (10)

• Electrical (4)

• Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (2)

• Architecture (2)

• and Civil for PRL (1)

Selection Procedure:

• Shortlisting for personal interview will be done in a 1:7 ratio based strictly on the GATE score.

• The final merit list will be prepared by giving equal 50% weightage to the GATE score and 50% weightage to the interview performance.

Fee Exemptions: While General/OBC/EWS candidates must pay a registration fee of ₹250, all Female, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen applicants are completely exempted from fee payment.
