Age criteria guidelines based on specific birth date blocks (both dates inclusive):

  • General Service (GS/X) / Hydro Cadre: Born between 02 July 2002 and 01 January 2008.

  • Pilot / Naval Air Operations Officer / Air Traffic Controller (ATC): Born between 02 July 2003 and 01 July 2008.

  • Logistics / Technical Branches / Education Branch: Born between 02 July 2002 and 01 January 2008.

  • Commercial Pilot License (CPL) Holders: Born between 02 July 2002 and 01 July 2008.

  • Merchant Navy Officers: Born between 02 July 1997 and 01 January 2008.

Candidates must fulfill entry-specific academic criteria with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks:

  • Executive Branch (GS/X, Hydro, Pilot, NAOO, ATC): B.E. / B.Tech in any discipline from a recognized university. Candidates must also have 60% aggregate marks in Class 10 and 12, along with a minimum of 60% marks in English.

  • Logistics: B.E. / B.Tech in any discipline, or MBA with First Class, or B.Sc / B.Com / B.Sc (IT) with First Class along with a PG Diploma in Finance / Logistics / Supply Chain / Material Management, or MCA / M.Sc (IT) with First Class.

  • Technical Branch (Engineering, Electrical, Naval Constructor): B.E. / B.Tech degree with minimum 60% marks in relevant engineering streams (Mechanical, Marine, Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, Naval Architecture, etc.).

  • Education Branch: M.Sc (Maths/Physics/Meteorology) with 60% marks, or M.A. (History/English) with 55% marks, or B.E. / B.Tech in relevant fields.

Key Rules & Benefits:

  • Only unmarried candidates are eligible to apply. Getting married during the training duration will lead to immediate discharge from service.

  • NCC 'C' Certificate holders are entitled to a 5% relaxation in cut-off marks for shortlisting to the SSB interview stage.

  • Selected candidates undergo rigorous training at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, and are commissioned in the rank of Sub Lieutenant.
