The Indian Navy invites online applications from eligible unmarried male and female candidates for the grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) for various entries in courses commencing in June 2027 at the Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala. Age criteria guidelines based on specific birth date blocks (both dates inclusive):
General Service (GS/X) / Hydro Cadre: Born between 02 July 2002 and 01 January 2008.
Pilot / Naval Air Operations Officer / Air Traffic Controller (ATC): Born between 02 July 2003 and 01 July 2008.
Logistics / Technical Branches / Education Branch: Born between 02 July 2002 and 01 January 2008.
Commercial Pilot License (CPL) Holders: Born between 02 July 2002 and 01 July 2008.
Merchant Navy Officers: Born between 02 July 1997 and 01 January 2008.
Candidates must fulfill entry-specific academic criteria with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks:
Executive Branch (GS/X, Hydro, Pilot, NAOO, ATC): B.E. / B.Tech in any discipline from a recognized university. Candidates must also have 60% aggregate marks in Class 10 and 12, along with a minimum of 60% marks in English.
Logistics: B.E. / B.Tech in any discipline, or MBA with First Class, or B.Sc / B.Com / B.Sc (IT) with First Class along with a PG Diploma in Finance / Logistics / Supply Chain / Material Management, or MCA / M.Sc (IT) with First Class.
Technical Branch (Engineering, Electrical, Naval Constructor): B.E. / B.Tech degree with minimum 60% marks in relevant engineering streams (Mechanical, Marine, Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunication, Naval Architecture, etc.).
Education Branch: M.Sc (Maths/Physics/Meteorology) with 60% marks, or M.A. (History/English) with 55% marks, or B.E. / B.Tech in relevant fields.

Key Rules & Benefits:
Only unmarried candidates are eligible to apply. Getting married during the training duration will lead to immediate discharge from service.
NCC 'C' Certificate holders are entitled to a 5% relaxation in cut-off marks for shortlisting to the SSB interview stage.
Selected candidates undergo rigorous training at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, and are commissioned in the rank of Sub Lieutenant.
